"If you are considering a solar installation but are concerned about the fragility of your roof, as I certainly was, Sungevity is the company for you. My own installation, completed at the end of July 2009, was particularly challenging, as my “Cal-Slate” shingles are no longer available (the maker went bankrupt about 10 years ago), and they often, distressingly often, break under foot. Sungevity’s personnel were extraordinarily careful, using scaffolding and boards to reduce traffic on the fragile shingles, and preserved my roof, taking much longer on my job than they ordinarily do, just because of my peculiar ‘orphaned’ roof.
