Kale Roberts, Assistant Editor with Mother Earth News
Hello Danny and the Sungevity Team,
I hope your day is a good one. I was given your email by our Green Building editor. We do occasionally invite people with good knowledge on natural building and renewable energy techniques to blog on our site. I really like your past articles here (especially the push to put solar on the White House). We would like to invite you to post occasional blog posts at MotherEarthNews.com I am attaching a couple documents that you can look over to see if posting is right for you.
Our readers are very interested in renewable energy and solar initiatives and tech are always very popular. Posting on our site offers you a chance to write about your passions, promote your books or products, or advance causes you may be working on. At the end of each blog, you can include a link to your website or blog, if you have one. Your byline will always link to your bio page, where you can include whatever links you want.
Our site gets more than 2 million visits a month and our editors choose some of the best blog posts to feature in our e-newsletters, which are sent out to about 400,000 subscribers. Occasionally we feature bloggers in print, which provides exposure to about 2.3 million readers.
Ideally, we’d like to hear from you at least a couple of times a month, but if you are concerned about your ability to write frequent blog posts, we have some possible solutions. No matter the frequency, the basic system is that you will send each post in a Word document, along with a picture or two, to us and one of our editors will publish it for you — easy. We do not alter your work, however (see FAQs, attached).
So, read over these attachments and let me know if you have any questions at all. If you decide you do want to be a Mother Earth News blogger, fill out the Required Info form and send that back to me with a head shot picture to include on a bio page, a sample post (that can also potentially be your first blog post on our site), and we’ll go from there!
Hope to hear from you,
Kale Roberts
